Jakarta’s skyline moves fast — and so does the demand for interior design Jakarta studios that understand this city’s pace, culture, and ambition. At our studio, we’ve spent fifteen years translating that energy into spaces that work harder and feel better, from Sudirman tower floors to private villas in Pondok Indah. If you’re looking for an interior design team in Jakarta that delivers on deadline and on brief, you’re in the right place.
Why Interior Design Jakarta Demands a Different Approach
Jakarta is not Singapore. It is not Kuala Lumpur. The city runs on relationships, on the warmth of Javanese hospitality, on the visual language of batik and wayang embedded in modern glass and steel. Great interior design in Jakarta honours those roots while meeting the expectations of international clients and global brands.
Local material knowledge matters here too. We work extensively with Jepara teak, andesite stone sourced from East Java, and hand-woven rattan from Cirebon — materials that look world-class on any mood board but require deep supplier relationships to deliver consistently. Our studio has built those relationships over a decade.

Interior Design Jakarta: The Senopati Co-Working Conversion
Our most-referenced project of the past two years is a 380-square-metre conversion on Jalan Senopati. A Jakarta legal tech firm had outgrown its generic serviced office and wanted something that would feel premium to international VC visitors without alienating the local team.
The brief: open collaboration zones, three enclosed meeting rooms for video calls, a client lounge that read as “boutique hotel lobby,” and a kitchen that people would actually use at lunch. Budget was firm at Rp 2.8 billion all-in.
We delivered in fourteen weeks. The centrepiece is a curved reception counter in smoked andesite with brass inlay — a nod to the firm’s initials worked into a Javanese parang motif. The lounge uses low-slung custom sofas in a deep forest green, referencing the firm’s brand palette. Meeting rooms are lined in acoustic timber slats that halve background noise on video calls. The kitchen features an open shelving wall in Jepara teak that doubles as a brand story display.
The client’s lead partner said it best at handover: “We stopped losing candidates at the office-tour stage.”
What Our Jakarta Interior Design Studio Does
We work across four sectors in Jakarta and the wider Jabodetabek region:
- Office & Co-Working — From single-floor fit-outs to full headquarters across multiple towers in the CBD, SCBD, and TB Simatupang corridors.
- Hospitality — Boutique hotels, restaurant groups, rooftop bars, and resort villas. We understand F&B flow, back-of-house logic, and the lighting moods that keep guests coming back.
- Residential — Apartments in Sudirman Park and Kemang, landed houses in Menteng and Pondok Indah. We handle everything from spatial planning to the final art hang.
- Developer Packages — Show-unit design, sales gallery concepts, and branded common-area fit-outs for property developers launching in Jakarta and BSD.
According to Cushman & Wakefield Indonesia, Grade-A office demand in Jakarta continues to rise, with fit-out quality increasingly cited as a factor in tenant retention — a trend our studio has seen firsthand.
Our Interior Design Jakarta Process
Every project moves through the same five stages, whether it’s a 60-square-metre café or a 2,000-square-metre headquarters:
- Discovery — A 90-minute session to map your brand, culture, budget, and timeline. We come with questions, not mood boards.
- Concept — One clear design direction. No option paralysis. We present the concept, walk you through the logic, and refine based on your input.
- Design Development — Full technical drawings, material specifications, and a detailed BOQ. You know exactly what you’re approving before a single contractor walks in.
- Construction Management — We run the site. Weekly progress reports, quality sign-offs at every milestone, and direct contractor communication so you don’t have to manage three WhatsApp groups.
- Handover — Snagging walk-through, as-built documentation, and a six-month defect warranty on all workmanship.
What We Don’t Do
We don’t take on projects where the budget won’t support the brief. We don’t promise timelines we can’t keep. And we don’t disappear after concept sign-off and leave you managing a contractor who has never seen the design files.
If you’ve been burned by a studio that was brilliant on Instagram and chaotic on-site, you’ll understand why we lead with process before portfolio.
